THE WOOLMARK COMPANY ANNOUNCES GLOBAL PRIZE AWARDING EXCELLENCE IN DESIGN
Jan Taminiau at Amsterdam Fashion Week
Designer Jan Taminiau will represent The Netherlands in the International Woolmark Prize.
The International Woolmark Prize crosses borders and cultures by seeking outstanding and emerging talent from around the world, aligning the support of emerging designers with the evolution of emerging countries. It is an award for the next generation, shifting the focus from glamour to true talent as a way to highlight wool’s eco credentials. It is Woolmark’s social commitment, a sharing of resources to support local artisans.
The regional judging event for Europe will take place on 12 July 2012.

British illustrator Will Broome comes to The Netherlands during Amsterdam Fashion Week Downtown! With an exhibition at Fashion Week Downtown he will show his work for the first time in The Netherlands. William Broome worked for Marc by Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Missoni, Hugo Boss, Becks and Vans & has been featured in POP magazine, Dazed & Confused, Wallpaper, I-D, the Guardian and WGSN.
